I would introduce Woodfield by showing how family activities are woven through the club. Golf and racquets have junior programs; fitness and aquatics have their own spaces; dining includes family options. For a buyer, that makes it important to tour the campus with the needs of every household member—and visiting family—in mind.
Golf
How would golf fit into your week?
The club credits its 18-hole course to Kipp Schulties and describes broad fairways, dramatic bunkers and an island green at the 17th. Men’s and ladies’ leagues, tournaments and 9 & Dine events add ways to participate. Junior golf includes lessons and family-oriented tee markers. Compare the course from appropriate tees and ask how new players join regular games.

Tennis & pickleball
Where would you play racquet sports?
Woodfield’s 20-court tennis complex includes HydroGrid, red-clay and hard-court surfaces, with all courts lighted. Eight pickleball courts add another choice, supported by lessons, clinics, open play and leagues. Adult and junior tennis programming gives the complex a broad role in club life. Ask how the staff matches newcomers to a suitable group.

Fitness & wellness
Where would you train and unwind?
The 38,000-square-foot Cascades Fitness Complex combines weights, resistance and functional-training areas with a dedicated Pilates studio. Group classes include yoga, TRX, aqua exercise and Pilates Reformer. These choices can serve golfers and non-golfers with different routines. I would review the timetable, class booking and individual training options as carefully as the sports facilities.

Aquatics
How would you use the pools and recreation spaces?
The pool complex offers a heated lagoon-style pool and a separate lap pool. Children have a fenced interactive water playground with fountains and a slide. Aqua classes and poolside gathering spaces broaden daily use. Touring the different areas helps a buyer judge exercise, relaxation and family activity separately and ask about supervision and guest rules.

Family & children
What would you explore for children and visiting family?
The 3,000-square-foot Children’s Clubhouse includes Kids Korner for younger children and a Game Room for teens. Playgrounds, junior sports, afterschool activities and school-break camps extend that offering. Babysitting is described as a service with its own age limits. Confirm current registration, supervision and availability for the children or grandchildren who would participate.

Dining & social life
Where would you dine and spend time with friends?
Seven dining outlets provide different settings. The Grille offers casual meals and family entertainment, Primrose an elevated dining experience, O Bar a social gathering place and Waterside poolside dining. Sandwedges connects meals with golf. Children’s menus and the club’s seasonal food-truck appearances give families additional options. Visit at a normal service time to see which spaces feel right.

Your first visit
Would Woodfield Country Club fit the way you want to live?
Woodfield deserves particular attention when a household wants junior activities alongside a full adult club routine. I would test that fit against the actual program calendar and guest rules, then compare the home’s space, outlook and location. The useful comparison is how well the property and club serve your family throughout the year.
- Which adult and junior programs fit the activities your household already enjoys?
- What age, supervision, reservation and guest rules affect your family’s use?
- What property-specific membership and association obligations belong in your budget?
Ask how club membership would work with the home you are considering, including household and guest privileges, current costs and any obligations.
