Life at Panther National
A Jack Nicklaus and Justin Thomas course, the Panther9 par-three course, an extensive practice area and a clubhouse and racquet center in progress shape daily life at Panther National.
I would introduce Panther National in Palm Beach Gardens through the rhythm of a typical week: a round on The Big Cat, a quick loop on the Panther9 par-three course, time on the practice range and, as new facilities open, dining and racquet sports close to home. The community sits within Avenir beside a large conservation area, so open land is part of the setting. The home search starts by understanding how membership would work with each property you consider.

Golf & practice
How would golf and practice fit into your week?
The 18-hole Big Cat course is the first design shared by Jack Nicklaus and Justin Thomas, and the club celebrated its opening in November 2023. Nicklaus Design describes a course that stretches to nearly 8,000 yards from the longest tees and about 4,500 yards from the forward tees, with water features, elevation changes, sandy waste areas and sculpted fairways. The practice range uses the same Zoysia turf as the course and offers target greens set at Tour-style distances, a 27-yard-wide landing strip for driver practice and a large short-game area beside the practice tee.

Short course & putting
Where would you play a quicker game?
Panther9 is a nine-hole par-three course also designed by Nicklaus and Thomas, and it includes an island green modeled on the famous 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. Beside it, The Cub is a putting course of about 30,000 square feet. These give golfers and visiting family a relaxed way to play on days when there is not time for a full round.

Dining & social life
Where would you dine and spend time with friends?
Construction began in 2025 on a clubhouse of nearly 60,000 square feet designed by Max Strang’s firm, STRANG, and published opening targets have ranged from late 2026 to early 2027. Plans describe a European-influenced fine dining restaurant, a casual bar and dining room, a wine bar in a tower called The Rock and a coffee and juice bar, along with locker rooms, an event lawn and a courtyard with fire pits behind the 18th green. I would ask the club which spaces are open today and what to expect in the season you plan to arrive.

Tennis & pickleball
Where would you play racquet sports?
LINKS Magazine reports a racquet center planned to open in late 2026 with tennis, pickleball and padel courts and a pavilion for courtside hospitality, and the club’s owner includes racquet sports among the community’s resort-style amenities. Court counts and surfaces have not been published yet. Ask about the opening date and how lessons, programs and court reservations will work.

Fitness, pools & family
Where would you train, swim and spend time with family?
LINKS Magazine describes a separate Panther Lifestyle Club and Fitness Center planned for early 2028, with family, adult and lap pools, private cabanas, training rooms, studios for yoga and Pilates, and sauna and steam rooms. More than 10 miles of trails wind through restored natural areas, and the magazine notes that children are welcome to take part in club activities. Since several of these plans are still ahead, it helps to ask which facilities are open now and how the timeline fits your household.

Home & membership
What membership and home details should you verify?
Panther National plans 218 estate homesites on about 400 acres within Avenir, bordered by a 2,400-acre conservation area, with Max Strang-designed Signature Estates and larger custom homesites. Ohana Real Estate Investors acquired the community in July 2026 and has announced new club leadership and a next release of homes and homesites. Membership terms can differ by property, so they are worth confirming with the club before you compare homes.

Would Panther National fit the way you want to live?
Panther National is worth a close look when you want a newer, golf-centered community with a Nicklaus and Thomas course, a par-three course and an extensive practice area, set beside a large conservation area. I would build a sample week around how you actually spend your time, then confirm which facilities are open today, what is still planned and how membership would work with each home you consider.
- How would club membership work with this particular home, and what does it include today?
- Which clubhouse, racquet center and lifestyle club facilities are open now, and what are the current timelines for the rest?
- How can our children, grandchildren and guests use the courses, practice areas and planned family pools?
