I would introduce Broken Sound as a club with several centers of daily activity. Golf has two distinct settings; the racquet and wellness campus provides another; dining and family programs connect the experience. For a buyer, understanding membership categories is essential because the Sports, Club Course and Old Course offerings provide different access to golf.
Golf
How would golf fit into your week?
The Club Course plays within the residential community, while the Old Course sits outside the gates with its own clubhouse. The Old Course received a Rees Jones redesign in 2023 and has a long PGA TOUR Champions association. Its golf membership includes the Club Course and Sports amenities. Confirm the course privileges of the category you are considering.

Tennis & pickleball
Where would you play racquet sports?
The club lists 22 Har-Tru tennis courts and eight pickleball courts. Tennis lessons, league play and a junior academy complement pickleball instruction, tournaments and organized play. This is worth exploring as its own lifestyle choice. Ask how new players join a group and how the competitive and social schedules differ.

Fitness & spa
Where would you train and unwind?
The fitness center offers personal training, group classes, a spinning room and Pilates space. A physical therapy and wellness center broadens the services. Moonstone Spa and Salon add treatments and hair and nail care. The adjacent café makes this campus a place to gather as well as exercise, giving non-golfers a substantial part of the club to enjoy.

Aquatics
How would you use the pools and recreation spaces?
The aquatic center offers swimming and poolside relaxation, with a waterfall feature and hot tub. It gives a household another way to spend time together after a class or game. During a visit, walk the pool area and ask about lap swimming, family use and the current activities that match your plans.

Dining & social life
Where would you dine and spend time with friends?
Current dining venues include CIRQ Grille and Bar, Zest Restaurant, Bistro, Moonstone Café and 1401 East. The range connects casual meals, family dining and more formal occasions. A useful tour includes a meal or a visit during service, so you can compare the settings and see which would become your regular gathering place.

Family programming
What would you explore for children and visiting family?
The club describes youth golf and tennis, swimming, basketball and arts activities. A Toddler Room provides supervised play on select days, while a Game Room and The Hangout serve older children at specified times. Afterschool programs, camps and family events add continuity. Confirm age rules and availability for your family’s anticipated visits.

Your first visit
Would Broken Sound fit the way you want to live?
Broken Sound merits a full household tour. I would connect the desired golf category with the racquet, fitness, dining and family activities each person expects to use. Then compare the property’s position within the community and the complete ownership obligations, including the specific membership arrangement and guest rules.
- Which membership category provides the golf access you actually want?
- Which playing groups, classes and dining venues fit each household member?
- How will children, grandchildren and other guests use the club during visits?
Ask how club membership would work with the home you are considering, including household and guest privileges, current costs and any obligations.
