Intracoastal condominium living in Jupiter

Life at Jupiter Yacht Club

Jupiter Yacht Club gathers about 150 condominium residences in five mid-rise buildings around its own marina on the Intracoastal Waterway, along US Highway 1 near the Indiantown Road bridge. Its appeal starts with the water outlook, the Riverwalk at the door and an easy reach to Jupiter’s inlet, beaches and dining.

I would introduce Jupiter Yacht Club to a buyer who wants condominium ease with the Intracoastal and a working marina as part of everyday life. I like to walk the grounds and the Riverwalk with you first, then compare the buildings side by side, because each of the four associations has its own floor plans, outlooks and rules.

Location
340, 400, 500, 600 and 700 S. US Highway 1, Jupiter
Setting
Five mid-rise condominium buildings and a marina basin on the Intracoastal Waterway, about a mile from the Jupiter Inlet.
Homes to consider
Compare the association and building, the floor, whether the outlook is toward the marina, the Intracoastal or the lagoon, the assigned parking and, if you boat, whether a slip is currently available separately.
Amenities and access
The marina is separate from the condominium residences, and the Town lists public parking and first-come public docks at the marina basin; confirm residence facilities, guest access and any marina arrangement with the association and the marina.

The setting

What does daily life on the Intracoastal look like here?

The five buildings sit along the Intracoastal Waterway around the community’s own marina, with residences looking toward the marina, the open Intracoastal or a quieter lagoon. Brokerage descriptions place the Jupiter Inlet about a mile away. On a visit, stand on the terrace of the residence you are considering at different times of day and notice the light, boat activity and privacy; the outlook can differ a great deal from one building and floor to the next.

Walking

Could your daily walk start at the marina?

The Town of Jupiter lists Jupiter Yacht Club as an entry point to its Riverwalk, the public waterfront path along the Intracoastal, with a walk northward through the marina and a bridge linking the path at the marina’s southern end. That makes an easy outing possible toward Harbourside Place and the area under the Indiantown Road bridge. Because the path is public, it is worth noticing how close it runs to the building and residence you are considering.

Boating

How would a boat fit into your ownership?

Recent listings describe slips in the Jupiter Yacht Club marina as available for lease or purchase, and one slip listing notes that a slip can be owned without owning a condominium. Slip sizes and current availability vary, so treat a slip as its own conversation. Confirm with the marina and the association what is available today, which vessel sizes fit and what rules apply before planning around a boat.

Choosing a building

Which building and association suits you?

The community is organized into four condominium associations: The Pointe, Mariner, Admiral and Commodore-Anchorage at Jupiter Yacht Club. Brokerage descriptions point to differences in plan size, bedroom count, private elevator entries and the number of assigned parking spaces from building to building. Ask for the current documents of the specific association, since pet conditions, leasing rules and facilities can vary, and compare the residence’s parking and storage with your household’s needs.

Beyond the community

Where would beach days and evenings out take you?

Carlin Park, a county beach park on State Road A1A, offers guarded beach frontage, tennis and pickleball courts and the Seabreeze Amphitheater. Harbourside Place, just north along US Highway 1, brings together restaurants, shops, a hotel and an amphitheater by the water, and the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum offers climbs, tours and history programs. Try each trip at the time of day you would usually go to see how it fits your routine.

What to explore on your first visit

I find Jupiter Yacht Club suits buyers who want a lock-and-leave condominium with the Intracoastal, the marina and the Riverwalk close at hand. On a first visit, I would compare two or three buildings, walk a stretch of the Riverwalk and, if you boat, speak with the marina about slips as a separate step.

  • Which building, floor and outlook (marina, Intracoastal or lagoon) best fit the way you plan to use the home?
  • Which parking, storage, elevator and facility rights belong to this residence, and what do the association’s current rules say about pets and leasing?
  • If boating matters to you, what slip is available today, on what terms, and is it separate from the residence purchase?
