How to read this map
Maps 9,472 qualifying residential assessment records above $3 million, 2,982 above $5 million and 507 above $10 million. Thresholds overlap. Repeated records with matching values and identifiers are combined; one assessment can cover more than one tax lot.
Values are the official appraised land, building and outbuilding components added together. They are tax-purpose estimates at the recorded valuation date, not current sale or listing prices. Each selected property shows its valuation year, value components and collection years. A 2026 collection year does not establish that a 2026 revaluation is final.
Includes explicit single-family classifications, improved residential records with one recorded occupancy, and residential condo units with positive building value and living area. Townhomes are included where recorded in these classes. Commercial, vacant, co-op, condo-main and multi-house records are excluded. Unresolved classifications, conflicting assessment records and house accounts with ambiguous shared tax parcel IDs are held out.
Source geography includes Western Connecticut, Greater Bridgeport, South Central Connecticut and Shelton. Fairfield has geographic coverage of all 23 towns. Historic Litchfield includes only Bridgewater and New Milford; historic New Haven includes only the 15 South Central towns. The Naugatuck Valley view includes only Shelton.
Official parcel/CAMA assessment identifiers connect records to boundaries. Matching pieces are combined; conflicting records and invalid boundaries are omitted. Shared condo land outlines do not describe apartment floor area. Mapped acreage is approximate and is not a survey.
No automatic assessed-value conversion is applied. Missing official appraisal totals remain unresolved, including Sherman. A missing valuation year is shown as not supplied.

Town coverage and value years
Source rows include all property types and can repeat the same assessment. Mapped counts include only qualifying residences with usable official appraised values and boundaries. A zero mapped count can reflect missing values or classifications.
Bethel and Sherman lack usable residential classifications in this source; Sherman also lacks appraised components. Other towns can have individual missing or unresolved records. Held candidates include out-of-scope properties and unresolved records; they are not a count of missing homes.
